Thank-you for taking the time and visiting my profile page.  I am currently the Strength and Conditioning coach for Alliance High School as well as teach one period of Lifetime Sports.  My name is Coach Clayburn and I have the honor of teaching this amazing subject to the best students in the state of Nebraska.  My goal and focus is to educate all students about proper lifting technique and form, how to gain strength properly, how you maximize your potential, and how it can reward you throughout life.  While lifting as a member of a competitive school sanctioned team is important, it is also imperative for each child to understand that lifting will benefit all students!

I am originally from Columbus, Nebraska and graduated from Columbus Senior High School in 1994.  I participated in football, track, and was captain my senior year of the football team.  After high school graduation, I played one year of college football at Peru State College until suffering a career ending injury.  From there, I coached football for Omaha Westside High School, Columbus Senior High School, Omaha Beef, and was an undergraduate assistant football coach at Wayne State College under Dan McLaughlin where I earned my bachelors degree in K-12 health/physical education, 7th-12th grade coaching endorsement, and a minor in sport management.

In 2011, I moved to Arizona where I worked for three years with the Arizona State University (ASU) football program as a graduate student equipment manger and had the honor of going to two bowl games and work away games which included: USC, UCLA, Oregon State, Missouri, and University of Arizona. My final year in Arizona, I was an assistant JV football coach for Mesa Mountain View High School while working with the football and Olympic sports programs at ASU. I obtained my masters degree in K-12 physical education and graduated in May of 2014.

Outside of my career and sports, I am a passionate and die-hard fan of all Chicago teams (except for the white sox) and the city of Chicago. I am also a passionate die-hard fan of ALL University of Nebraska athletics,  love to cook and use my weber charcoal grill and smoker, finding new ways to eat healthy, establish and develop new fitness programs, work on my yard and garden, and always finding ways to become a better teacher/coach.

I look forward to working with this amazing group of students and encourage parents to contact me with any needs and/or stop in anytime to check-out our class. I am going to periodically upload information and homework on this site so keep your eye out for that!  Go Bulldogs and let's have an amazing year!!!
